Matt Molloy, Barry Feely and local artist Vitya Malirsh
A 1916 Rising committee Chaired by Barry Feely has been busy organising a special exhibition of photographs and drawings “For The Record”, with special reference to The 1916 Easter Rising as it was experienced in this area. The exhibition was opened this afternoon by renowned musician Matt Molloy, who’s father was jailed in King House at the time of The Rising.
The exhibition will run until Saturday 2 April 2016. A ceremonial gathering will be observed as volunteers’ relatives attend 11.30am mass on Easter Sunday wearing their family member’s Old IRA medal.
