Thursday 30th November: A large appreciative group attended and applauded Gerry Kielty’s address at tonight’s launch of the 2017 Exhibition “A Year’s Work”. Gerry spoke in glowing terms of the group’s achievements, the diversity of the exhibits and expressed his appreciation for the assembled talents of those who have looked at objects, landscapes and nature and then produced works for display and our enjoyment.
• Gerry noted that this was an apt date for a launch since it coincided with the 50th anniversary of the death of the acclaimed Irish poet and novelist Patrick Kavanagh
