Super mum Triona O’Dowd Hill (Strandhill and Boyle) is hugged by her daughter Nara having just completed the Lough Gill 10 Kilometer Swim in aid of Hospice. Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt are heroes who inspire, and so is our own mother of five Triona O’Dowd Hill who swam brilliantly through choppy Lough Gill waters in the middle of a 50+ group, raising over €25,000 for Hospice on Saturday 13th August.
• By the way, local Doctor Barry Cosgrove also completed Saturday’s Lough Gill swim and will be a member of a selected relay team to swim the English Channel this coming September.
