The road to Assylinn Cemetery is flooded most of the time this winter. There have been several funerals lately and mourners who wish to show respect for their departed loved ones are unable to pass through without getting wet. I understand several people have contacted the local Roscommon Co Co Area Office about this. When I contacted the Area Office today (Thursday 25th January) I was assured that remedial works are planned for when the weather improves, and that funds are available to cover the cost of the project
