Christmas Penitential Service:
Sunday 18th December: Christmas Penitential Service will be held in St. Joseph’s Church at 7p.m. Part of our Advent Preparation for Christmas. ‘Where do I need divine healing. Is there anyone to whom I owe forgiveness?.

Ecumenical Carol Service:
Thursday 15th December: The Annual Ecumenical Carol Service will be held here in Church of Ireland at 8pm.

Thursday 15th December: Galilee Community welcome you to a celebration of Christmas in WORD and SONG.  Celebration begins at 8pm and evening concludes with light refreshments. Contact 071 966 4101.

‘Touch Shannonside’ Coffee Morning:
Monday 12th December: Please come along to the Open Table between 10am and 12 noon and have coffee and cake with us. You will be supporting our current project in Nepal. We are bringing clean water to one of the villages destroyed by the earthquake of 2015.

Boyle Deanery Lourdes Pilgrims Fund: Additional volunteers required for Bag Packing Fundraiser on 22nd / 23rd and 24th December next in Supervalu, Boyle. The generosity of your time will greatly help our assisted pilgrims from the area to travel to Lourdes in 2017.Further details to Mary Clifford on 086 816 4541 or Des Mc Loughlin on 086 255 3985.

Short Advent Reflections by Fr. Niall Ahern available to listen and to podcast at www.elphindiocese.ie/advent-reflections. Series offers a lovely reflective journey through the Advent season.

Wednesday 14th December: Tawnytaskin Community Centre Christmas Flower Demonstration with Angela East at 7.30pm Food served on the night. This event is ticket only and costs €10.Please bring your own bottle. Tickets available from Adam’s Apple , Boyle or by contacting Ann on 086 813 0005

Thursday, 15th December: Grange National School Christmas Concert at 7pm. Refreshments in the School afterwards, and all are welcome.

Mobile Phone Appeal: Scoil na nAingeal Naofa have launched an old mobile phone appeal, in conjunction with Irish Autism Action. We are collecting old mobile phones for Irish Autism action & our school. “We swop old mobile phones for ipad/laptops for our school and Irish Autism benefit by recycling of reusing the phones. Please help us by donating unused mobile phones.” 

Tuesday 27th December at 2pm: 3rd Annual 5k Fun Run/Walk in aid of children with Autism in Lough Key Forest Park. Rapid Prompting Method Ireland Ltd. is a charity which is supporting Education and Communication to those living with Autism. Registration from 1.30pm €10 for Adults, €5 for Children, €20 per Family.
