Roscommon Solstice Choir is a voluntary community choir that has raised in excess of €150,000 for charities in Ireland and in London since it was set up in 2013. The choir performs free-of-charge.
Members pay their own way to practice and concerts and also pay for day-to-day expenses such as hall-hire, insurance, bus hire, photocopying etc. In order to lighten the burden on members the choir will hold a fundraising concert in Kilronan Castle Hotel on Sunday 1st October, 8 pm. Guests on the night will include Frankie McDonald from Athlone, Charlie McGettigan and the St. Brigids Community Choir from Kiltoom.
