Roscommon became 2017 Connacht Senior football champions when they defeated match favourites Galway in Salthill scoring 2-15 to 0-12 on Sunday 9th July.
Celebrations will continue for Roscommon diaspora worldwide, and especially in Boyle for Mary, Mike Jnr and Cian Smith. Siblings Donal and Enda Smith’s prowess on the day contributed significantly to the win, while Enda was voted Man of the Match. A notable member of the panel, 19 year old Cian McKeon was present and pundits predict a bright future for this Boyle man
