Minister Denis Naughten attended a public meeting in St. Joseph’s Hall, Boyle on Thursday 23rd June.
Topics discussed and dealt with comprehensively by the minister included Broadband, Industry for Boyle, Garda Station opening hours, Future of the Military Barracks, Boyle Courthouse Project Early Train to Sligo, Hotel for Boyle, and the possibility of recovering heritage items for display in a museum-type environment in Boyle.
All were welcome to attend and as was pointed out by several at the meeting – it is not often we get a government minister to come and attend a public meeting here. When asked, the minister said that he considered the meeting a very good one. He said the agenda and questions from the floor included valid issues of local concern that he will address and that he will return here in the future.
