“We saved and saved and at the start of April we eventually headed off on our dream holiday, a hired cruiser on Lough Key. The weather – pretty awful, but the scenery and the welcome from people was spectacular. Everything was wonderful until we got near Boyle River and Canal. We could hardly believe our eyes – litter, litter and more litter. We are sure your local hard working tourism people will be disappointed, but with apologies to the greater community, here are a few of the photos we took :”
