Roscommon County Council has allocated 1.5 million euro for the development of two centres, Roscommon and Monksland with funds also set aside for hot-desking facilities throughout the county for small businesses. It’s hoped that a working group will meet early in the new year to progress the Roscommon project, which will see over a 10,000 square foot development in Roscommon with broadband speeds of up to 3 gigs.
We may wonder if the soon-to-be-vacated 9,000 Herald Building on St. Patrick Street was considered as a base for the Roscommon project.
