Internet Awards

awards

Really and truly and as far as I am concerned Internet Awards are mostly just money spinners for the award promoters. The procedure is simple … you enter, or get someone to enter for you, turn up on Awards night for a very expensive dinner (close on €200 per person).
• Being the shy retiring person I am (take that as you wish!), I didn’t publish this photo before now. It was taken in Dublin’s Killiney Castle Hotel some years ago as I received a National Internet Social Contribution Award for realboyle.com. I was totally surprised at the win, but delighted that our town and yours truly were being recognised nationally. I hadn’t entered realboyle in the first place and couldn’t be bothered to ever since either, so I leave it to others to blow hot air about their hopes for a useless, meaningless award 🙂
