Happy Birthday Knock Airport
On this 27th day of May in 1986, the visionary Monsignor James Horan said “With a snip of this scissors I declare knock Airport Officially Open”. What a welcome and wonderful statement that was, because not only was the airport opened, but many will feel that Connacht was opened up to the world in a new and very special way.
I have experienced the hospitality and warmth of staff at our ‘local airport’ and am delighted to write happy Birthday to all at Knock Airport (or Ireland West Airport if you prefer)
