Feighan welcomes €27,000 in Sports Capital Funding for upgrade of Boyle Tennis Courts

Senator Frank Feighan has warmly welcomed more than €27,292 in Sports Capital funding for the upgrade of Boyle Tennis Courts. The funding was confirmed to Senator Feighan this morning [Friday 15th] by his colleague Brendan Griffin, Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport.
“I am very pleased to have assisted Boyle Community Tennis Association in securing this funding for the upgrade of the community tennis courts.
“I also want to sincerely thank all those who have worked so hard on this successful application. This courts upgrade will be a major boost for the local tennis club which is a very important sporting asset to the town of Boyle.
“Under this latest round of Sports Capital funding, I am also delighted that Keadue Sports Field has received more than €24,500 in funding for floodlights and tarmac surface for a walking track and St Ronan’s GAA club will benefit from €10,270 for the provision of fencing for the new pitch.
“The Sports Capital Programme represents an excellent value for money investment. Investing in sport is good for the health of the nation, both literally and economically.”
