A business that was slaughtering deer and processing meat has been ordered to close in Co Wicklow.
The premises was closed following an investigation by the Food Safety Authority, Wicklow County Council and gardaí.
The Food Safety Authority (FSA) has said the premises was unregistered and unsupervised.
All the venison at the facility was removed and destroyed by authorise due to public health concerns.
Equipment at the facility was also seized.
A formal closure order was served on the business owner by the FSA, which means the business cannot use the premises involved to process meat until it has been fully registered, inspected and approved for use.
