Contractors appointed by Roscommon County Council have begun enabling works on the N61 Athlone – Boyle ahead of realignment works on two sections at Ratallen/Runnaboll Townlands and at Treanagry/Knockroe Townlands. The Road will soon be closed between Caldra Cross Roads and the 4 Provinces Public House for a period of up to 12 months with through traffic being directed via Tulsk, Frenchpark and into Boyle via the R361.
The R370 Carrick on Shannon (Cortober) to Frenchpark road will not be affected by the project.
