It became necessary for me to drive to Drumshanbo. The road from Carrick-on-Shannon is a delight, and so is litter-free Leitrim Village with its Hotel, Boat Marina and several restaurants.
On then to Drumsnanbo – a really lovely town, litter-free, well maintained, friendly and location for more business and specialties than many others: Outdoor Heated Swimming Pool, Lough Allen Hotel, Gunpowder Distillery, Food Hub, Jinnie’s Bakery & Tearooms, Sweet Geranium Cafe, McGowan’s Westlink Coaches, Gala & Centra Supermarkets, the very expert Talk n Tech Phone Shop, hometown for Paschal Mooney, Charlie McGettigan and more, more, more
