Sligo Weekender report: Cromleach Lodge Hotel and Restaurant in Castlebaldwin has closed with immediate effect.
The four star hotel and spa has been a popular wedding venue in Sligo. Couples who had booked their weddings at the venue or made enquiries for the same were contacted by email which confirmed the closure of the hotel with immediate effect. Subsequently, a number of couples contacted the Sligo Weekender to inform us of the situation. It is not known how many couples are affected by the closure, or how many had paid their initial deposit for their wedding reception. With Revenue Commissioners forcing its closure, the future of those deposits is also not known at this time.
