Catching up on the news etc

Wednesday 16th November: I will spend time checking various sources for what has happened locally and elsewhere since last Friday.

• With my family I spent the past days in the little-known but absolutely beautiful Co. Cavan holiday resort CABU CABINS located not too far from Killeshandra.

• Coillte built and developed wooden cabins in Killykeen Forest Park before selling ‘Cabu By The Lakes’ to its current owners. Further developments followed and continue even today.

• Apart from having my 14th November 81st birthday there, I enjoyed a superb evening meal by renowned chef Richard Corrigan, a spectacular high wire outdoor entertainment, the company of CEO of Irish Distillers and executives, Chris O’Dowd and the launch of 17th November Redbreast Whiskey Day 2022, Thursday 17th November
