Boyle GAA Update 4th March

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 7,11,16&26. €20 winners were Trevor Conroy, Mary Gallagher and Denis Dodd. The jackpot now stands at €8,800 and next week’s draw takes place in Clarkes.
There will be a final registration night for the Ladies club on Wednesday, March 6 from 7-8pm. This is for all girls from U8 to minor excluding the Nursery programme, registration for which will be later in the year.
The Senior Ladies had a win against Castlerea for the first outing of the season: 3.12 – 3.06. They play St Faithleach’s on Sunday, March 10 away at 11am.
The GAA Presidents Awards take place on Friday, March 8. The Smith Family will be accepting the Dermot Earley Family Award in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the GAA. Follow the festivities on TG4 from 7.30pm.

Congratulations to our own Abbey Community College boys Junior team who progress to the Connacht Schools final on Tuesday. They played their semi-final last Tuesday and had an emphatic 15 points win over Our Lady`s College Belmullet.
They now play Strokestown in an all Roscommon Connacht final in Elphin throw in at 1:30 on Tuesday. Boyle GAA wish the lads and their coach Mr Greaney good luck and bring home the silverware.
