Boyle Arts Festival – Carole Coleman in conversation with Hilary Beirne, King House 22nd July

P7220002-1

Softly-spoken and a high achiever, Hilary Beirne is a Boyle man through and through even though he has lived more of his life in New York than here in Ireland.
Carole Coleman’s well-researched interview explored Hilary’s life achievements and extensive work with the Irish community in the United States.
Hilary is the founder and Chairman of NYC St. Patrick’s Day Foundation and principal orchestrator of the world’s largest and oldest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City.
Hilary is an active, vocal ‘can do’ member of several Advisory Boards while managing also to be a College School Science teacher.
Hilary attended Abbey Community College and fondly remembers his days there and teachers including our own Tony Conboy. Like many before him and many nowadays, Hilary confesses “Ireland will always be home”.
