Senators Feighan & Leyden clash in Seanad on A&E issue

In a heated row in the Seanad, Terry Leyden claimed that people had died as a result of the last government’s decision to close the A&E in July 2011. In response Senator Frank Feighan said that not one person had died and called on Senator Leydon to name even one person. Senator Leyden did not come up with a name!
• Senator Leyden’s misinformation and untruth on this issue does nothing to garner respect for politicians. The man might easily have given credit for the fact that there are now 350 jobs filled at Roscommon Hospital.
• PS/ My comment is NOT an indication ‘Party’ leanings, but strikes me as similar to the USA Republicans opposition to every Obama proposal
