World Meeting of Families Concert

Did you watch Saturday’s 3-hour World Meeting of Families Concert in Croke Park … and what did you think of it???

• I thought the sets and sound were spectacular
• The first half was excellent right from the brilliant dance routine that included Edwina Guckian’s Sean Nos dancers
• Daniel O’ Donnell was awful
• The Celine Byrne/Andre Boccelli Ave Maria duet lacked any warmth (or even a smile) between the singers
• The Sean Nos dancing by Emma O’Sullivan and the brilliant black guy as well as the Riverdance were among the best performances as well as Nathan Carter (I have to admit he was very good !!)
• The young Traveller girl’s selfie with the Pope – wow !!
• Fair play to Pope Francis … he looked at his watch and admitted that he was tired.
