Scoil na nAingeal Naofa Friday 23rd October
“Today was a momentous day. End of a fantastic first term, Halloween dress up (teachers and children!), a celebration of our 6th Green Flag and retirement of our SNA, Bríd Murray.
We always choose special guests to raise our Green Flag, this year while some things were different this aspect stayed the same.
In honour of her last day in Scoil na nAingeal Naofa, our Special Needs assistant ‘Mrs. Murray’ was chosen as one of our special flag raisers and in honour of it being her last year with us, our 6th class pupil Katie Kiernan also had the privilege of assisting with this important job. Thank you, Ladies!
It has been a pleasure and a blessing to have Brid and Katie in our school over the years. We would like to wish Bríd a very Long, Happy, and Healthy Retirement. We enjoyed a thoughtful, simple and short celebration for Bríd after school today and it was lovely to be able to do this within the restrictions.
We are proud of our Green School Committee and everyone in Scoil na nAingeal Naofa for their commitment to promoting long-term, whole-school action for the environment.
Wishing everyone a very happy, healthy Halloween, Michelle”
