Roscommon Co Council’s multimillion-euro rental bill revealed
Shannonside News: In total, Roscommon County Council paid more than €2.4 million in 2015, 2016 and 2017, while the bill for the first 11 months of 2018 was almost €2.2 million.
The article doesn’t state why rents needed to be paid now that the Council’s ‘new’ HQ is functioning in Roscommon Town. I have been informed that payments are in respect of payments made by them to private landlords for housing accommodation for tenants under the RAS Scheme, and nothing to do with rent for office accommodation.
