Local TD Denis Naughten is encouraging all those who are interested in a career in the Defence Forces to apply on line as soon as possible. The Defence Forces plan to recruit just over 600 general service personnel to the Permanent Defence Force in 2016 and a further 850 personnel in 2017.
Applicants for recruitment to the Permanent Defence Forces will be required to complete physical fitness and interview assessments. The recruitment competitions will be run through a centralised online application system on the Defence Forces Website www.military.ie.
