Roscommon County Council has allocated 1.5 million euro for the development of two centres, Roscommon and Monksland with funds also set aside for hot-desking facilities throughout the county for small businesses. It’s hoped that a working group will meet early in the new year to progress the Roscommon project, which will see over a 10,000 square foot development in Roscommon with broadband speeds of up to 3 gigs.
We may wonder if the soon-to-be-vacated 9,000 Herald Building on St. Patrick Street was considered as a base for the Roscommon project. Last month, Boyle was declared the Roscommon county Bank of Ireland Enterprise Town award. It will be interesting to track BOI and Roscommon Co Council follow ups …
