Fire on the Sligo to Dublin train
Gardai were called to attend an Irish Rail service following a reported fire on the train on Thursday 12th December. A fire broke out onboard the 19.00 Sligo to Dublin Connolly service.
Gardai attended the scene of the incident after the train stopped at Boyle. It is understood a person was removed after seating and flooring were damaged. A fire extinguisher had to be used on the train to “prevent damage”.
