This iconic Boyle building will be familiar to the thousands of students who have passed through its doors through the years. Like many, I spent 5 years attending classes here when the ‘Vocational School’ or ‘Tech’ as it was called, was part of the St. Mary’s Secondary School campus. St. Mary’s is now called Abbey Community College. At that time, the late Canon Tom Mahon urged parents to send their secondary school pupils to Canon Kevin Dodd’s new St. Mary’s Secondary School … and most did just that.
