Boyle Men’s Shed Chairperson Tony Byrne
The Annual General Meeting of Boyle Men’s Shed was held on Tuesday 17th January. Tony Byrne (see photo) is now chairperson, Owen O’Donohue is now secretary and William Kenny is now treasurer. The Shed’s previous chairperson completed a period during which the Shed has moved from strength to strength … well done Martin Connolly!
• Boyle Men’s Shed has set out a structure in which five main projects and others will be undertaken with a defined leader for each project
• The Irish Men’s Shed website states “Members of Men’s Sheds can come from all walks of life – the bond that unites them is that they are men with time on their hands and they would like something meaningful to do with that time.” “There will be an emphasis on informal learning. An atmosphere of ‘doing stuff together’, having fun, creating a buzz should prevail.”
