Big Boys Don’t Cry
I said it before and I will say it again “our future will be secure with our great generation of young people.” Abbey Community College Transition Year Students demonstrated their capability once more with their handling of the quite disturbing play ‘Big Boys Don’t Cry’ .
This powerful drama portraying the devastation of child abuse was acted out with a mature credible performance that surely left a haunting memory for the the large audience in St. Joseph’s Hall on Friday night 27th July.
I spoke to a number of people after the play finished to a well-deserved standing ovation. Comments included “Great choice of topical subject”, “Our TY students were brilliant” and “What would we do without Frank O’Mahoney who chose and directed the performance, and does so much great work in our community.”
