• The lowest grass temperature of 2018 was recorded at the Markree weather station in Sligo. A temperature of -13.2C was documented there on the 20th of March after a spell of snow the day after St Patrick’s Day.
• Temperatures soared to 32C at the Shannon weather station on June 28th , the highest daily maximum at the airport since 1946.
