Sheepdog Trials – from 8.30am Sunday 5th December
Eddie Egan hosted Connaught Branch Sheepdog Trials on his farm at Knockroe, Boyle. Wonderful displays from dogs and their handlers were enjoyed all day long on a mild, sunny day in December
Expert handlers 84-year-old Eugene Feeney and Con McGarry explained the rules of this wonderful sport to me. The close link between the handlers and their dogs was very evident.
Enjoy the opportunity of seeing happy working dogs and their handlers whenever you get the chance. I loved every minute of my all-too-short visit to Eddie Egan’s farm and the Sheepdog Trials.
