King House exhibition space for Erwin Springbrunn

Erwin Springbrunn

Erwin Springbrunn (7th March 1939 – 27th December 2015) was a world-renowned gemstone cutter and the exhibition planned for King House, Boyle, Co Roscommon will celebrate his work. Erwin Springbrunn’s entire workshop including his drawings, sketches, jewellery, specialist equipment and meticulous notes will be moved from his house and workshop and installed and exhibited in King House.
• It has been reported that the exhibition will be located in King House and instead of the Connaught Rangers Association Remembrance Room.
• Erwin produced substantial commission works for various churches and for Knock Shrine, where, in 2004, the new crown for the statue of the Virgin Mary was unveiled. Other “public” works include replicas of the Tara and Ardagh brooches and special pendants for presidents Robinson and McAleese.
