Michael English Concert in Gurteen
We have a lovely concert coming up in Gurteen in St Patrick’s Church on Dec 2nd at 8pm. Michael English and his band will play live in the surroundings of our lovely church.
• Michael English is one of Ireland’s top Country music stars. Since forming his own band, he has been going down a storm ever since on the Irish and UK dancing scene. Michael and his talented band are renowned for their energetic performances with Michael playing both his famous red piano and accordion at his shows. He is dedicated to giving his followers an unforgettable show each time they see him.

11/11/11 2018 Connaught Rangers, King House
At 11am, November 11th, the Connaught Rangers Association hosted an event marking the hour, day and date as a memory of the Armistice signed between the Allies and Germany at Complegne in France.
• During the well-attended King House event Paul Malpas read the names, death dates and burial locations of the 127 men from the Boyle area who died during the conflict.
• Tommy Egan unveiled a specially engraved plaque listing those who died from the area.
• Relevant poetry readings were delivered later in the Grand Salon, King House

Anthony Cunningham has been ratified as Roscommon senior football manager for a two year term with an option for a third year. Anthony Cunningham brings with him an extensive and impressive CV. He managed the Galway senior hurling team from 2011 to 2016 reaching two All-Ireland finals.
