Free Christmas dinners in Boyle for 50 people
It’s a tradition that began in 2017 and was started by Dorothy Shannon from the King House Tea Rooms in Boyle.
The meal is free of charge and will take place at the cafe on December 28th this year.
“We provide the whole works. The turkey, ham, starter, main course, dessert, tea, and coffee. Well, I feel there are a lot of people who are lonely over the Christmas period and it’s just a nice gesture to do it and I’m in a position where I can do it. I get lots of help to do it and it’s also a great, fun day.”
