Corpus Christi Procession 2018 – 3rd June
The weather couldn’t have been better for the procession. I have purposely avoided adding music to this video.
During the tea and cakes ‘afters’ I encountered a couple of local right wing ‘Catholics’ (for want of a better description) who have not let go of the Referendum result and still wish to pursue the ‘No’ argument. I do not share the same religion with these bullies and suspect they would not appreciate my choice of music
• Route 2018: Out the Abbeytown Gate, up by the Abbey, over Abbey Terrace and back into the gate of the Church. Benediction was celebrated in the Church grounds beside the relocated Statue of Christ the King. Afterwards there was a community gathering for a hour on so with a cuppa and chat and bouncy castle and slide for the young people.
