There is no known treatment for the coronavirus that emerged in China late last year and has since proliferated across the planet, infecting more than half a million people and claiming more than 30,000 lives. It will take between 12 to 18 months for a vaccine for Covid-19 to be developed and approved for use, there is a global race happening to do just that.
